Ways of life that are no more.
Reserves and life savings have been destroyed.
Increased violence caused by financial stress.
Increased calls to hotlines from those in distress.
Financial woes that have forced families apart.
Children surrendered to foster care with broken hearts.

Don’t take your own life for granted, not even for one day.
Don’t judge folks by their looks, suited, shoeless or crazed.
Don’t think harsh thoughts of those who were caught off guard.
Don’t refuse to share what you can spare, it is just not that hard.
Don’t look away when you can at least give a smile.
Don’t walk away if you can help for awhile.

Do remember the Golden Rule.
Do try to see both sides, is what I ask of you.
Do try to love your fellow man.
Do give in any way that you believe that you can.
Do practice more compassion as a way of life.
Do make the most of this simple advice.
